Support Design and Implementation
We provide opportunities for meaningful development of community and positive social connection through these experiences and more. Not all sober living homes are the same and in fact beyond the differences in “amenities”, there are many other important factors to consider. Our experience has been that once our clients arrive at New Beginning Recovery, they understand and feel the benefits. You are not locked in to any long term agreements, but we do ask that you come planning to stay for at least 60 days. After your initial period at Tharros, you may wish to explore our less structured home, Teras. You are not locked in to any long term agreements, but we do ask that you come planning to stay for at least 30 days. Tharros offers significantly more than a traditional sober living. We fit in between what you’d find at a clinical extended care program and very supportive recovery home.
Sober Living Requirements
In addition to these activities, New Beginning Recovery assigns eachresident a case manager to help them on their journey to full recovery fromaddiction. The residents living at New Beginning Recovery are asked to meet with theircase manager at least once a week. In addition, residents are also asked toparticipate in morning meetings, which are scheduled during the week (Mondaythrough Friday).
At Teras, we offer structured sober living with flexible structure to meet the needs of those returning to family, work, school, or other commitments. At Teras, our experienced team, plus ancillary providers, provide a high level of support for clients to take action in a recovery fellowship, and engage outside structure. Without it, I wouldn’t have the life I have today, nor would I have learned how to live the way I do now, with great meaning and joy.
At New Beginning Recovery, my team and I work with only 10 clients at a time to ensure that we provide the support and suggestion that can help each individual design their own successful recovery. Each client at New Beginning Recovery learns to apply the tools from treatment in a way that is both fun and effective. Nick is a person in long term recovery through the program of Alcoholics Anonymous. He has maintained sobriety since March 5th, 2015, and is very active through the Young People in AA Fellowship. Nick grew up in Arlington, Massachusetts where he attended Arlington High School, playing varsity D1 Hockey and Lacrosse.
